§ 6.04.280. Failure to have leash—Impoundment.

Any dog not secured by a leash or not securely confined upon privately owned property shall be taken and impounded by the animal control officer or any law enforcement officer of Butte-Silver Bow and the same shall be impounded for the period otherwise provided in this chapter. Any dog impounded which is not claimed by the owner within the period prescribed in this chapter shall be disposed of by the animal shelter as in other cases.
