§ 2.20.191. Badges.

  • Every sworn officer of the law enforcement department shall be issued a suitable badge to be approved by the sheriff and furnished by the council. Any officer who loses or destroys the same shall be required to pay the cost of replacing it. Any officer that leaves the law enforcement department after being administratively discharged, resigns in lieu of disciplinary action, or resigns because of pending or existing criminal charges, shall immediately deliver his/her badge to the sheriff.
