There is adopted by the council of commissioners for the purpose of prescribing regulations
governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, that
certain code known as the International Fire Code, 2012 edition, together with appendices,
recommended by the state of Montana, Department of Justice, Fire Marshal's Office
of which not less than three copies have been and now are filed in the office of the
clerk and recorder of the city and county of Butte-Silver Bow, and the same is adopted
and incorporated as fully as if set out in length in this chapter, and from the date
on which the ordinance codified in this chapter takes effect, the provisions thereof
shall be controlling within the limits of the city and county of Butte-Silver Bow
excluding that area within the territorial limits of the town of Walkerville.
