§ 10.52.250. Courtesy parking tickets.

  • A.

    Any motor vehicle bearing a current license plate issued by any state other than the state of Montana, or bearing license plates issued by any county in the state of Montana, other than the city and county of Butte-Silver Bow, and which vehicle is illegally parked at a parking meter maintained and operated by the parking commission, shall receive a courtesy parking ticket, and shall not be subject to a fine for such illegal parking.

    B.

    This courtesy ticket does not apply to any car that has received three or more of such courtesy parking tickets within any continuous thirty-day period, or which remains illegally parked in the same position for two or more hours after receiving a courtesy parking ticket.

    C.

    There shall be no liability or penalty attached to this issuance of a courtesy parking ticket.
