§ 7.06. —HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

(a)

The Council of Commissioners shall establish a City-County personnel system which shall provide for hiring and promotion of local government employees on the basis of qualifications and merit.

(b)

The personnel system shall provide for job training, vacation, sick leave, insurance and other benefits for employees; procedures for employees to have an opportunity to be heard upon their request pending discharge, suspension or any designated disciplinary action and shall provide for such other procedures as necessary for an equitable personnel system. All of the above provisions may be set forth in the Administrative Code.
