§ 7.02. —PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
(a)
There shall be a Public Works Department which shall be charged with the responsibility and administration of engineering: streets, roads and other public right-of-way; water and sewer; solid waste collection and disposal; parks and recreation; and maintenance and operation of related equipment.
(b)
The Chief Executive shall appoint, with the consent of the Council of Commissioners, a Public Works Director qualified by training or experience.
(c)
The Council of Commissioners may establish by ordinance additional responsibilities for the Public Works Department.
